On August 29, 2026 (Nehase 23, 2018 E.C.), following an official invitation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, a delegation from Meba Agricultural Development Share Company (MeAD), comprising Board Chair Dr. Yeshwas Ferede, and General Manager Mr. Desalegn Aynalem, attended the Ethio-Thailand Business Forum at the Hyatt Regency hotel in Addis Ababa. The team focused on gathering vital intelligence on national priority investment sectors, sharing institutional experiences, and conducting targeted Business-to-Business (B2B) sessions with prospective partners.
በኢትዮጵያ የውጭ ጉዳይ ሚኒስቴር በተደረገ ጥሪ መሠረት የመባ የግብርና ልማት አክሲዮን ማኅበር (MeAD) የመባ ቦርድ ሰብሳቢ ዶ/ር የሽዋስ ፈረደ እና ዋና ሥራ አስኪያጅ አቶ ደሳለኝ አይናለም፣ ነሐሴ 23 ቀን 2018 ዓ.ም በአዲስ አበባ ሀያት ሬጀንሲ ሆቴል በተካሄደው የኢትዮ-ታይላንድ የቢዝነስ ፎረም ላይ ተገኝተው ተሳታፊ ሆነዋል። በመንግሥት ትኩረት በተሰጣቸው የኢንቨስትመንት መስኮች ላይ መረጃዎችን የመሰብሰብ፣ ልምዶችን የመለዋወጥ እና በተለይም በሁለትዮሽ (B2B) የቢዝነስ ትስስር መድረክ ላይ ውጤታማ ውይይቶችን አድርገዋል።
During the B2B session, the delegation held bilateral discussions with major Thai organizations whose strategic visions directly align with MeAD’s operational goals. With Charoen Pokphand Group (CP Group/CCP), in-depth discussions covered integrated crop development, hybrid seed propagation (particularly white and yellow corn), bio-enriched crops, organic fertilizers, and fruit and vegetable processing for export. They were exchanged ideas for future collaboration, including potential pharmaceutical supply chain opportunities and leveraging CP Group’s internal R&D capabilities. Furthermore, discussions with SCG International, a global giant with over 45 years of experience across 50 countries, focused on sourcing small to medium-scale agricultural machinery, farm equipment, and spare parts.
በሁለትዮሽ የትስስር መድረክ ወቅት የመባ ተወካዮች ከመባ የሥራ መስኮች እና ራዕይ ጋር አብረው በሚሄዱ ግዙፍ የታይላንድ ኩባንያዎች እና የፋይናንስ ተቋም ጋር ውጤታማ ውይይት አድርገዋል። ከቻሮን ፖክፋንድ ግሩፕ (CP Group/CCP) ጋር በተቀናጀ የሰብል ልማት፣ በምርጥ ዘር ብዜት (በተለይም ነጭ እና ቢጫ በቆሎ)፣ ተፈጥሮ ማዳበሪያ፣ እና የአትክልትና ፍራፍሬ ምርቶችን በማቀነባበር ወደ ውጭ በመላክ ዙሪያ በጥልቀት ተወያይተዋል። በቀጣይ በፋርማሲዩቲካል ዘርፍ እና በድርጅቱ የጥናትና ምርምር (R&D) ክፍል አብሮ መስራት በሚቻልበት ሁኔታ ላይ ተመካክረዋል። በተጨማሪም በዘርፉ ከ45 ዓመት በላይ ልምድ ካለው ከSCG International ጋር መባ ወደፊት ለሚያከናውናቸው የግብርና ሥራዎች አነስተኛ እና መካከለኛ የእርሻ መሳሪያዎችን፣ ማሽነሪዎችን እና መለዋወጫዎችን ማቅረብ በሚቻልባቸው ሁኔታዎች ላይ ውይይት አድርገዋል።
The delegation also engaged with STAR CANNERY, leveraging their 30-plus years of food processing expertise to assess value-addition opportunities, particularly evaluating prospects for MeAD to venture into pineapple production and processing. On the financial front, the Vice President of the Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Bank) reaffirmed their commitment to financing trade, investment, and project development in Ethiopia. EXIM Bank expressed full readiness to provide project financing for MeAD provided the initiative involves a member of the Thai Chamber of Commerce or a joint venture partner.
ተሳታፊዎቹ በምግብ ማቀነባበር ከ30 ዓመት በላይ ልምድ ካለው ከSTAR CANNERY ጋር በመባ በኩል አናናስ ልማት እና ማቀነባበር መስክ መስራት የሚቻልባቸው ምቹ አጋጣሚዎች ላይ ተወያይቷል። በፋይናንስ በኩል የታይላንድ ኤክስፖርት-ኢምፖርት (EXIM) ባንክ ምክትል ፕሬዝዳንት ባንካቸው በኢትዮጵያ ፕሮጀክቶችን ፋይናንስ ለማድረግ ዝግጁ መሆኑን የገለጹ ሲሆን፣ ከታይላንድ ቻምበርስ ኦፍ ኮሜርስ አባል ኩባንያዎች ጋር በጋራ የሚሰራ ከሆነ ለመባ ፕሮጀክቶች አስፈላጊውን ፋይናንስ ለማቅረብ ቁርጠኛ መሆናቸውን አረጋግጠዋል።
